Join Our Team as a Yard Hostler!

We are looking for a reliable Yard Hostler to support yard and fleet operations by safely moving trailers and containers within the facility and assisting in on-the-ground tasks such as inspections, equipment staging, and site maintenance

What You’ll Do:

✅ Operate yard trucks (hostler trucks) to move trailers and containers around the yard and between loading zones.
✅ Safely back trailers into docks or designated areas for loading/unloading.

✅ Perform pre- and post-operation inspections on equipment and report issues immediately.

✅ Assist with manual labor tasks including tarping, cleaning, or securing loads.
✅ Communicate with dispatchers, drivers, and supervisors to ensure efficient flow of operations.
✅ Follow all safety regulations (OSHA, local, state, and federal guidelines)
✅ Keep work areas clean and properly store equipment after shifts
✅ Assist with additional tasks as needed

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

🔹 High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
🔹 Experience operating yard hostler trucks or working in a trucking yard/fleet setting is a strong plus.
🔹 Ability to drive and back trailers safely in tight spaces (CDL is not required, but a plus).
🔹 Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb in/out of vehicles, and perform labor-intensive tasks in various weather conditions.
🔹 Willingness to work in an outdoor, industrial environment.
🔹 Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends or overtime as needed.
